She wished Kitty were still in the City, of all her friends, she knew Kitty would be able to give her tips on dating, after all, she'd actually done it. Rachel? Not so much. And yet something had still possessed her to call Brennan and ask him out. On a date. With her.
Somewhere, her friends were laughing at her.
Rachel couldn't even explain why she liked Brennan, except that he was a nice guy, loyal to his friends and she'd enjoyed talking to him when he came by the Lux for a drink. And... he was handsome, very handsome. She hadn't felt like this... since she was a kid, really. It was scary. But there it was.
So now here she was, a nice black skirt, green top and a coat, waiting out by the fountain for a guy she wasn't even sure liked her.
Well, he had to like her a little, he'd said "yes", right?
Right.
Nervously running her fingers through her hair, she looked around, waiting for him to meet her.
