Ros was over Sunday night, and we watched some of the VMA awards. Both of us had the same 1 line review...though Ros came up with the catchy phrase: Mtv has ADD. They can't just concentrate on one thing. It's been bad for a while...what with the videos being interrupted by the useless opinions of gum-snapping 14-year-olds. That is, when they show videos. Last night really crystallized the ADD opine though. We'll zoom to this room, now we're going to these guys for one verse, maybe a refrain if we're feeling bold. Let's throw in some rapping dudes...some racing through crowds to catch the "why is he there?" 50-year-old white dude off guard.
I'm wracking my brain to think if I have any of the performers' music besides Foo Fighters and Linkin Park. Not coming up with anything.
Here is some good and bad:
The Good: Britney opened
The Bad: Britney opened
The Good: Sarah Silverman followed Britney
The Bad: Sarah Silverman bombed harder than Britney
The Good: Chris Brown stole the show without a doubt; he kicks ass as an entertainer
The Bad: I can't dance like Chris Brown.
The Good: Rihanna was smokin'
The Bad: She wore more clothes than Britney
The Good: Kid Rock and Tommy Lee fought
The Bad: Neither one got knocked out
