Well, this is going to be another short one, due to disorganization on my part, not much of event happened today.

I've found a weird and annoying quirk in one of my favourite pieces of software, XaraX, where you can define custom units, but if you use those units to set the grid size, the resulting file can no longer be opened. Fortunately it can be imported, but it was a panic moment for a bit as I thought several hours of work had gone down the tube.

Our game tonight has been ... interesting. We're a party trying to defend an elven forest from a bunch of Yuan Ti (snake things) with a notable lack of success. To add to the fun, we ran into an Unseelie Nymph last session, which proceeded to take over most of the party (only reason I made it, is that I'm playing a drow char, and the Spell Resistance bounced it). Anyway, my char worked out what was going on, and plotted evil death. One sneaky poisoning later, and the Nymph was dead, and a chunk of the party are wanting to 'have words' with my char.
Annoying, I have this nifty ring of invisibility, Which I Forgot About though the entire fight, insert much hitting of head on solid things here. Anyway, Simavael, my char, is off elsewhere till people calm down, hoping there is some kind of duration on the mind-control effects. The fight was a lot more nuts then I've described here, but I'm kind of tired now, so I might describe it better later. Still, the image of most of they party downstairs in the elven house we're hiding out in, hanging on her every word, while upstairs my char and an NPC are happily brewing up horrible poisons was funny.
It gets worse, the game is still going on as I type this, but Sim is well clear of it, and for various reasons, the party are off to try and get the evil Nymph thing saved, by talking to the people we've been fighting. I have a feeling my team is going to be down to one person, me, very soon. Ironically _I'm_ the one with a backup char planned.

Talk Like a Pirate day seemed to go fairly well over here, the radio stations got into it, and my various friends remembered, so there was much of the ARRRR going on. Sadly, in tonight's game, we didn't end up fighting pirates, which was a pity. Susan couldn't figure out a way to have pirates turn up in the middle of a forest, I think she just wasn't being creative enough.

I'd like to point people here. The person mentioned is a friend of mine also, and ... well, all I can give is best hopes and wishes, but I really really do hope this works out, because she deserves better then this. Times like this are another reason I wish I had money.

Brett, who really had a fairly quite day.
