Mmm, I seem to be getting up early half the time, and late the other half. Well, halfway there I suppose.
Thought for the day, don't blame video games for your kids being insane.
Grand Theft Auto does not have the ability to turn your kids into nutters, that comes down to rotten parenting. If your kids honestly can't understand that firing off real bullets from a real gun into real cars is a bad idea, then they have a bunch of problems that no degree of cutting down on computer games is going to fix. I think there is a problem with what kid are seeing and playing these days, but it wouldn't be as much of a problem if parents didn't try and let the TV or computer raise them.
It's official, even Hans Blix thinks that
Iraq destroyed it's WMDs 10 years ago, which doesn't surprise me. To be honest, I'm waiting to see any of their reasons beyond 'Saddam is a bad man' for going in hold up, and there are better targets they could have gone after if they were just on a quest to beat the crap out of bad-guys.
Bleah, I just hope, I really really hope, that something good does come out of this in the end, and that the US does exactly what they claim they are trying, and turns Iraq into a jewel of the Middle East. After Afghanistan though, I hope, but I don't belive.
Got to speed a chunk of today listening to some person's car alarm keep going off ... more annoyingly, just as we finally called up Noise Patrol, it stopped. Well, if it's there again tomorrow, we know what to do about it this time. Personally, I no longer see any reason why car alarms should be allowed in cites or residential areas. If they go off, nobody cares, nobody is listening, so all they do these days is annoy the hell out of everyone around them.
I did mean to do more, but it's late and I'm tired. I'm also in the middle of The Dwarf Game, where our party is fighting hoards of giant spider things. Some of them cast spells, which is bad, but ironically we have a bunch of them tired up in webs currently, and are doing the good old pummel (or in my guy's case, Heavy Repeating Crossbow Mayhem!).
I'll try to be awake for my next entry. :)
And remember, tomorrow, Friday the 19th is Talk Like a Pirate Day ... if this game goes on another 50 minutes, it's going to get stranger. Dwarven Pirates anyone?
