I decided to do the "30-day gratitude challenge" meme going around on Facebook, where each day I post something I'm grateful about/for. Since things posted on FB so quickly disappear into the ether, I'm reposting them here. This is what I've done so far.

So we've gotten the apartment cleaned up and Febreezed the couch cushions and washed the cushion covers and we'll see how they are after they've dried, but probably we'll have to just buy entirely new cushions for the couch and a new mattress for the couch bed. Train ride back sucked - for some reason I got motion-sick at the beginning (maybe because the twisty-turny Rockies were at the beginning of the trip rather than the end?) and it just kept getting worse and worse, and to top it off, the train was twelve hours late getting home, so we didn't arrive until 6am. I was getting out of the shower this afternoon when Frolic told me Pfife (one of our cats, and this particular cat is my baby) was choking on something. I spent the next twenty minutes trying to coax him out from under the bed. where he was breathing very shallowly and kept trying to vomit and was drooling this thick ropy stuff.
