Xmas Eve pj's

As a kid, we were always allowed to choose one small present to open on Xmas Eve. There was a limited selection of presents we could choose (usually one of three little presents), and I have fond memories of this tradition. Aw, how cool to have spurred a new tradition at chez tamago23! That makes me smile.

My kids love this tradition, too. Plus--jammies!

I made my kids pj pants too! For both of them, I just took a pair of pants they already had that fit well, turned them inside out, then folded them in half so I could see the shape of the leg and crotch, then traced around it. I had the fabric for the pants doubled over twice, so I could cut out all of the pieces at once. I did trace over it a lot bigger though, to make sure the waist was big enough for elastic. Caleb's I don't think I made big enough though, oh well, we'll see!

I'm giving it to them on Xmas morning, so it looks like they have more presents (we had to cut back this year). :)

I heard about this tradition from a girlfriend a few years ago and thought it was so full of cute possibilities to make the eve of xmas perfect. Now, I've turned around to find that suddenly everybody is doing it and has been doing it forever!

Way to go you!! That does sound like a great tradition. You should post a pic of the boys wearing their new "jama's" on xmas eve!
