Methacholine fail
The methacholine challenge was fuckin' weaksauce. They're supposed to test you with up to 16mG of methacholine in the nebulizer (they increase the dosage 1 or 2 mG each time, depending on how you're tolerating it, until they hit a top dose of 16mG). They had to stop my test after only 4mG because I was reacting so severely. :( Damn. They had to give me a couple puffs on an inhaler to open my lungs up again. When I did a methacholine challenge 3 years ago I had no problem, only mild shortness of breath even at 16mG. Whatever the hell this is, asthma or whatever, it's come on serious.
On the upside, I responded really well to the Ventolin inhaler they gave me and it didn't make me all jittery or heart-racey (that I was aware of).
