This is the firefighter AU you were looking for ! (And if you weren't, give it a try) It all starts with a calendar of our wonderful knights (and it makes me think we should hassle the BBC to have a Merlin sexy calendar) and a magical Merlin. Arthur is a prat, which is the way it shall be, and Gwaine longs after Merlin, which is nothing but true.
And then, because I shall be true to my words, an "older" fic :

A/N : 'Why was it that the most beautiful men usually were the biggest prats?' DS Merlin Emrys asked himself after his first encounter with his new superior, DI Arthur Pendragon. Fighting together against the drug empire of Nimueh Clarkson, the two different men find common ground and develop a deep friendship, which slowly turns into more.
This story is written in the very interesting form of 146 drabbles of 100 words. You can read it like any story, but it has this nice rythm. No long descriptions or dialogue, as you can expect, since every 100 words must have a meaning on its one. Plus the story is very nice. It's a post-series 1 fic (so no knights sorry), but it's still very delightful !
