I have read for you.... An Author Rec
Okay, I decided to do some kind of an author rec... I first wanted to do it with lady_ragnell since I read almost all of her fics, but she doesn't have a masterlist of her fics so it makes the work quite more difficult.
So I came back to the very beginning of my reading of Merlin/Arthur fanfiction and I'll focus on dracosoftie since I read all her Merlin/Arthur fics by night during my Christmas vacation in LA.
Personal Favourite : Modern AU
Camelot Industries by dracosoftie ; NC-17; Four parts; 27k words
A/S : The fate of his father’s company is on the line, and Arthur Pendragon must learn to trust others to help him -and put himself out there, both with Camelot Industries and with Merlin Emrys, the tech genius who has caught Arthur’s interest. Camelot Industries may never be the same after Arthur and his so-called knights of the roundtable are through with it.
This is a great Company Fic. Morgana and Merlin are especially loveable, and it's quite funny to see Merlin as a computer nerd since he is so fumbling in Canon : might be his magic ! There is one moment in the snow I especially remember because I found it really beautiful, and I would advise to read the fic only for it even if the rest was awful, which it is obviously not.
Personal Favourite : Canon Era
Secrets by dracosoftie ; PG; One-shot; 2400 words
A/S : Keeping secrets is what landed Merlin in this situation, but some things are too precious to ever be said.
I'm not very fan of Canon Era fics. But this one is truly magnificient. This is, as you can guess, a magic reveal, and this is something I like to read when it's well done and plausible, which it is rarely. There is no slash if you don't want it in this story, and it's even closer to Canon, which makes this story even more precious.

Slippery Situation by dracosoftie ; NC-17; One-Shot; 5200 words
A/S : Merlin fumbles what should have been an easy errand, and now he has to help Arthur deal with the consequences.
This is not a real PWP since there's a bit of interesting plot in this, but the porn is really great. Special bonus point for sex talk with Gaius !!!

A/S : Arthur is a photographer for a popular porn magazine, and Merlin is the pool boy who tends to the grounds at the magazine's mansion.
The summary says it all. But even though, I have quite a good memory of this fic, and remember even finding it quite attaching... (And I didn't review it which is the shamest shame of shame)
So... I don't know if I'll be doing Author Rec again, but that's quite fun for me to overlook the entire work of a writer, so I might do it ! And please, authors, MAKE MASTERLISTS !
