talking to friends this weekend about our collective retreat from livejournal had the odd effect of making me think about how i should post

It is strange to see your post today because this afternoon I was thinking of you and wondering if you still check your livejournal because I wanted to get a hold of you. I use to have your e-mail but lost it when my old computer crashed.
James is so beautiful and growing so much, yes, he looks much older.
We adopted a beautiful 5 week old baby boy almost 4 weeks ago. It was the happiest day of our life. We named him Ezra. A few days later we find out his mother lied about everything, mainly about the birth dad and what he knew about the adoption, and the fact that she did know how to get a hold of him etc. The birth dad is now fighting for custody and he may have actually got it on Friday, we find out tomorrow. So Ezra may be gone out of our lives forever within the next few days. We are so in love with this little guy and he is so attached to us.
So it turns out mom is a scam artist and once again we were fucked over but this time it is so much harder because we have been raising Ezra for almost a month. It is such a nightmare. Of course, once again we lost a lot of money.
Although we don't know how we will afford to adopt again or even trust anyone, raising Ezra has made us more determined to be moms. It truly is the greatest joy. So I was thinking of you today because I remembered that you had some good suggestions on how to send out our info to adoption agencies etc and tell them we are open to an african american child and we don't have a lot of money etc. I remember that you had lots of great suggestions, so I was wondering if I could e-mail you and talk about it. I guess I need to see a light at the end of this tunnel because right now it is pretty dark. I don't know how we are going to wake up every day without him beside us.
You can e-mail me directly at poptart@shaw.ca I would also like to send you some photos of our beautiful boy.
