...I think my computer may be dying.
When it takes a full hour and over twenty restarts to make the computer display on the monitor...that's bad, right?
The monitor works (it will display it's logo if I turn it on and off--but it'll do this even without a computer attached) and the hard drive is on--I can even hear it go to sleep after a few minutes. But the screen is black. All connecting wires are secure. It almost appears as though the hard drive itself is failing to transmit a signal to the monitor. Anyone familiar with this problem? Restarting it rapidly had no effect; leaving it alone to cool between restarts had no effect. I just had to do it over and over until it managed it properly, which it did seemingly at random.
Shit. I am not prepared to shell out money for a new computer right now. Shit. Shit.
So...anyone have any recommendations on laptops? -_-
(In the meantime, OH MY GOD I HAVE TO BACK UP EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW!)
