It was a new job and he'd been eager to get started.
In his first week he'd had to bow before a strange creature from the past.
The second week he'd had to shoot a man.
During the third week he'd lost the leader of the team he was there to protect and the whole building had been blown up.
Captain Becker downed his second drink and waved for more.
At this rate he'd be an alcoholic within three months if he wasn't killed by a predator first.
Perhaps he would be lucky.
They still remembered Ryan fondly after all.
