Heroes:
This is the greatest Heroes post ever. So not dial-up friendly, and welcome to why I ship a second pair of brothers. See also:
Lenore. Oh, Lenore. I don't think I've ever done
yuletide recs, mostly because I never get around to reading Yuletide. This year though, HEROES fic:
Sword, by ....someone! Hiro-centric.
Hiro looked at himself in the mirror, holding Charlie aloft. The katana was beautiful, but Ando was right. He didn't even look right, holding it. Anyone could have told he didn't know how to use it; it didn't belong in his hands. But Peter had said that when he visited from the future, he had a sword, so clearly he was going to learn. In fact, if he didn't, it might compromise the fabric of the space-time continuum. That wasn't the sort of thing a hero did lightly.
Besides, he was going to need it when he met that dinosaur.
Such cuteness.
X Will Mark the Place Like a Parting of the Waves, AU, and
I'm Not the Man They Think I Am At Home. Both excellent Peter/Nathan fics, and both by
hackthis. Man. Nathan taking care of Peter and yes, he excels at that.
HP/Stephen Colbert crossover, Smallville
Harry Potter and the Eagle of Truthiness. Uh.
"Allow me to present Professor Colbert," Dumbledore said. "Your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher."
Maybe it's the fact that Monday is going to be my do or die day as far as finals and all that good stuff goes. Maybe it's the fact that Lord of the Rings just had a scene that made me cry (where Aragorn and his court bows to the hobbits). How does Frodo get gayer for Sam every single rewatch? How? And I don't have *time* to go on a Legolas/Aragorn fic binge, damn it.
EITHER WAY, this story is one of two that made me insanely gleeful this weekend. *cackles*
The second, was of course
seperis'
Dealing With the Unexpected, Clark/Lex for
undermistletoe. This is pretty much the ONLY story I have read for my own challenge so far. (Why does Christmas and hence, this challenge have to come near finals every year? Why?) WHATEVER. ASSBABIES. Adorable goodness and ♥!
Being knocked up by Lex Luthor is *awesome*.
Hideaway by
rivkat. Clark and Lex take a vacation together. On a beach. Oh, they're still enemies, but Lex agrees to take a vacation because Clark's cracking up with the whole Superman gig. There may or may not be beach sex. I shall not spoil it for you. ♥
elandrialore was asking for prompts, and she wrote me
Lex, looking in on Oliver and Clark. Happymaking.
Q.E.D. by
runpunkrun, SV, Clark/Lex. Adorable fun.
"I don't care who you're dating as long as it isn't Luthor himself, you're writing...you're shaking your head? You're dating Lex Luthor?"
Clark shrugged with a "what are you gonna do?" look. It wasn't exactly lying if people came to that conclusion all on their own. So what if he nudged them along. It'd stand up in a court of law. Shrugging didn't count.
I decided to download this vid based on her list of vid inspirations, which had one of my favorites in the fandom.
Change (in the house of flies), vid by
obsessive24. Clark/Lex, with some comics thrown in, and ....!!!
At the two minute mark, it segues from 'good' into 'awesome' territory. And no, you do *not* need to watch this show regularly to get something out of this vid. *breathes* This vid makes me think beautiful apocalypse type thoughts, and that's how I like my Clex best. *sighs happily* (And people, read the notes.)
Winning Sometimes, SV vid by
bipolypesca. Clex, of course, and this is a vid with a fun story in it. The ending is what made me smile though and pushed it into 'aww, nice!' into 'oooh, reccable!' territory for me. I absolutely *love* the lyrics to that song too.

Several recs
