The Devil went to a Hell called Georgia

Welcome to the South-lands, home of Saltines, Paula Deens and flaming Queens (at least in Atlanta)! Here in the quasi-liberal yet corporate controlled island of 'only part insane' citizens called The ATL we have a full blown GOP McFeast of Eating their Young (a favorite past time of the Georgia Red State Leadership). Hmm. Because in California, pedophiles are considered sex offenders. Isn't it all just one big list?

It astounds me, and is no small accomplishment of the machines of idiocy, that even at this late date, well into the second decade of the 21st century, people continue to conflate the word pedophile with child rapist, child molester, and sex offender when there is no such necessary 100% equivalence.

Call a child molester a child molester or even a child rapist if you wish, and certainly either may be rightly called a sex offender; a pedophile, however, may or may not fit into any or exactly none of those categories.

It's simple and needn't be emotional or overwrought, as it is just a case of correct terminology, the respect of which in every other field of study is not only accorded but expected as well. Needless to say, it isn't all just one big list.

Politics is the process of persuading people to do what they don't otherwise want to do. As the Iron Chancellor said, It is the art of the possible. Any objective value a piece of legislation might have is, at best, a secondary consideration. Rep. Moore has now learned this lesson. May he profit from it.

(Not for nothing, quoting Bismarck twice in the shortest month of the year has to be some kind of record.)

I am not as concerned about citizens using deadly force against cops as I am about cops using deadly force against citizens.
