An open letter to the GOP

Aug 30, 2013 19:06

Dear GOP,

I know you talk the talk of "freedom" and "liberty" but I am not sure those words mean what you think they mean.

Your mistake is taking them at their word. What they stand for and what they claim to stand for are two different things.

I'd say "Right back at you Buddy!" but I'm sure Obama and Kerry are only acting like chickenshit neo-cons to be ironic.

Since my comment makes no distinction for the Democrats, I can only assume your comment is aimed at me personally. I'm not two-faced, sorry.

If not, stop projecting the entire Democratic party onto an independent individual such as myself. It's rude.

You used the pronoun "them" with out designating a change in subject. The OP and by extension your reply were both adressed to the GOP, I simply responded accordingly.

Lol, You're trying to gaslight me aren't you

I was responding to the OP, who was talking about the GOP.

I still don't understand why you immediately placed me on the Democrat team. The urge for a snipe that bad? It's okay, you can admit your mistake, I won't think any less of you for it.

Like I said to nairiporter,

I base my assessment of you on past posting history, coupled with the fact that you post things like "Conservatives are not part of an ideology, they're on a 'team', and anyone who speaks against them must be on the other team." without any hint of irony, sarcasm, or acknowledgment of the fact Progressives are just as bad if not worse in this regard.

Well duh, who do you think I was talking about when I said other team? Get with the program, broheem.

Your assessment is still dumb.

And you knew they were Obama-supporting liberals, how exactly? Mind-reading abilities?

Conservatives are not part of an ideology, they're on a 'team', and anyone who speaks against them must be on the other team.

Obviously.

I don't know how many conservatives that generalisation really applies to.

Ann Coulter. It definitely applies to her.

That statement applies equally if not more so to "the Left".

Seriously, how the fuck did the Greens end up in the same camp as Labor? Or SJWs on the side of NOT bombing dictatorships?

Whatever makes you think they are in the same camp?

Reply

sandwichwarrior August 31 2013, 19:06:37 UTC
The same things that make you think that evangelical moral crusaders, budget hawks, and libertarians, are in the same camp.
