Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.

No, you sense the rather questionable meat I had with dinner.

Lo, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, For thou art with me;

Because as we all know there was nothing Jesus loved more than violence.

What do you think the rod and staff are for?

Likewise...

Then said he to them, But now, he that has a purse, let him take it, and likewise his money: and he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Luke 22:36

The world is a dangerous place and taking up the sword to protect yourself, or those you care for is not a sin but a virtue.

Read the Full King James text(especially Matthew, and Luke), not the cliff notes then get back to me.

Poetry and scripture would make for a nice diversion from politics.

King James version is not terribly reliable, full of translation errors.

Well I can't read Greek or Latin, and I don't think telemann reads Russian. Therefore the King James is the translation that we are most likely to have in common.

You first, along with a good reading of early church fathers on pacifism /non violence. My high school required New Testament Greek and Latin. And really, the King James version?

Lolz.
