a strange way to tell you we belong.

I got my first letter from Jason the other day. He gets to take care of baby cows. How cute. And chop wood, and all that glamorous farm living. He's liking it though, minus the lack of sugar intake and the once a week dose of caffeine. He's drinking coffee now... which makes me laugh because that boy hates coffee, and even more so, he never ever drank anything hot. I miss him so much. This is going to be one incredibly long year, but its entirely worth it. The very first sentence of his letter, "... I miss you a lot, but God's going to bless us for this time of seperation". And I know it too, it's just harder on some days more than others. I sent my first letter off today, so hopefully he'll get it by the end of the week. That would be nice. He may get to call home this week.
Anywho... I got my Top 20% letter today. Haha... too bad I'm not going to a state school! I'm going to hold onto it though, it's an accomplishment. I haven't really had the typical high school experience, and I think I'm better off without it. Middle school was a nightmare, as well as freshman year, and I think it was a good decision to change schools and just do the whole dual enrollment thing and not deal with people's crap. I see so many kids that I hardly know who are just caught up in so much garbage that really doesn't even matter in the long run. Maybe I'm just insensitive to it, but I know what it's like to have friends treat you like crap and to know that no one even cares. The best thing anyone can do for themselves in that situation is to just move on. It can be very hard and sometimes seem impossible, or it may put you in the position of being fearful, but it's worth it to take the step of faith and say you're worth it. You shouldn't let others define you, nor ruin yourself to the opinions and mindlessness of other people.

Or maybe I am just talking out of my butt right now.

Anyway... I'm out to get some sleep or something. I drank coffee too late and now I am UP!
