Jason left for New Hampshire yesterday. Emily, Lewis, Jason, and I followed his parents in my car to Orlando to take him to the airport. I'm holding up better than I thought I would. It's two weeks before he can call home. I know I'll be alright. We got together with a bunch of our close friends from youth church and Channi, Andrew, and Scott from Covenant and hung out and did the whole "mushy circle", and then we all prayed for him. One thing that was spoken was that this is not a detour but a milestone and that this is an adventure and part of his spiritual journey. I think I had been thinking of this situation in the wrong light. Though I know this is going to be an awesome experience for him, I was thinking of it as he needed help, which he does, but it's not the "let's get this kid back on track" experience that I had assumed it was. But anyway...
I'm going to Southeastern in the fall. I can't wait until August, it's too far away.
I got a job as an office assistant. I make my own hours, which is sweet, plus I don't have to work past 5, and no weekends. So inevitably, I will probably be working more hours, but the job is going to be awesome because all it is is filing, and doing other things, plus I'll be learning some appraisal things. So it works out, not to mention I'll be making money to put towards college.
Cornerstone Florida is in a little over a month. I'm excited... I'm going to use all the change I had been saving for Alaska for spending money there. There is a ton of it.
But anywho... off to homework.
