Happy New Year, Card Thanks, Festivid Update
Sincere Happy New Year wishes to all of my people on the Internets!!! *group hug* You guys add so much to my life; I wouldn't be the same person without you. You make me laugh, you make me sigh, you expand the boundaries of my experience. Oh, I'm getting sappy. I hope the new year brings good things to each and every one of you.
Special thanks to those who have sent me cards. My entire family gets a kick out of them; my mom when she brings them up to our apartment (she thinks I must be super-popular :), and my sister who is in charge of the arrangement of the Wall o' Cards. You all rock:

As for my Festivid, I'm feeling pretty good about it. It's like I'm on the cusp of vid farr: not quite at the obsessive "oh god I want to vid every waking moment" stage, but definitely feeling a pang about not being able to work on it today because I'll be out having a (gasp!) social life. I would feel 100% confident of my chances of finishing the vid by the January 6 deadline, if not for the small fact that my vidding computer is in its death throes. Ack! I have to run start-up recovery every time I boot up. That can't be good. I'm coddling it and petting it and telling it it only has to make it through one more week. Just one more week before it goes to its final rest. Poor little computer. I've worked it hard in its lifetime. It's tired.
