X-Men Fic Recs
First off, thank you very much to

chantefable for the chocolate on my user page. I told
redina that every time I go to look at my user info, I get the munchies. LOL.
As mentioned in a previous post, the X-Men: First Class fandom has ushered in a new era of social media participation for me. I created a Tumblr, I commented on kinkmemes, and now I opened a Delicious account. The only thing left is Twitter, but I hope I don't break that final seal. :)

I just started the account last week, so there's not tons of stuff there: about 60 or so recs, mostly XMFC, largely Charles/Erik.
Here are some of my favorites that I've bookmarked so far:

I like quality fic, but I also like the trope-y stuff, the id fic, the stuff I would be ashamed to admit to if I weren't too lazy for shame. Please tread carefully if you are triggered by things like violence, torture, noncon, dubcon, depictions of mental illness, suicidal thoughts, kidnapping and confinement, etc.]
M.I.N.A.S.F.S. ("Mutant" Is Not A Synonym For "Shitty") series by
iphignia939. This is a series of interconnected stories where the Beach Divorce did not happen. The main pairing of this is actually Mystique/Destiny and they are awesome, but there is also quite of bit of Charles/Erik happening, sometimes just in the background, and sometimes the focus of a story. Vividly imagined and tons of fun.
"Family of Blood" by
pentre_katblake. This is a kinkmeme fill that is still a work-in-progress, but it's been updated fast and faithfully, and appears to be almost finished. The premise is that Erik's sister, Ruth Lehnsherr, an utterly badass mutant in her own right, survives Shaw's "experiments", and meets up with Charles and Raven, and eventually Erik as well. It's a very smart and extremely entertaining read. Eventual Charles/Erik has been promised.
"i could never understand your tears" by Anon. An utterly chilling, superbly written Charles/Erik fic where Erik is completely deluded and doesn't understand that Charles truly doesn't want to have sex with him. Complete. Scroll down for the sequel. Big old noncon warning on this one.
"Synthesis (Scenes from an AU)" by
starlady. Long, engrossing tale of Charles and Erik and their life together in an alternate universe where the Beach Divorce did not happen. Excellent Erik POV.
"They Put Nails In My Brain, Love" by Anon. Charles/Erik. Another kinkmeme fill (complete). Shaw kidnaps Charles and forces him to brainwash himself. Excellent hurt!Charles here.
"This Is Not Our Ending" by
merry_gentry. Sweet, sweet Darwin/Alex fix-it fic.
"Armando/Alex, 5+1 fic" by Anon. Five times Alex thought he saw Armando, and one time he really did. This is still a WiP over on the kink meme, but the parts that been have posted are AMAZING. This story has brought me to tears at least twice.

Despite their prior enmity, Erik and Moira join forces to find out who is behind the disappearance, and what they'll need to do to bring their friends back home.
This is one of my absolute favorite XMFC fics thus far. Hurt/comfort fans, it doesn't get much better than this!
