Thanks! I actually had no idea that there would be so much Mag 7 stuff there. It's like the little fandom that could.

Yay! I love Magnificent 7 and have a soft spot for Chris/Vin

I think this one is a great overview/primer

Thank you! I think crack_van will be the key to my happiness. Should have thought of that myself.

Hi!
Yay! A new Mag7 fan! How awesome is that?
Here's the best of the best, story-wise: http://gwyneth.drizzlehosting.com/fic_mag7.html

What Jo didn't tell you is that we've made some of the very few vids in the fandom, as well -- two are from our first disc, which aren't online but if you have that disc you can find them, and if you don't have it, I can get you a copy. The best of the vids is on our old tape but I have perennial hope that it might get remastered someday... and I have one vid at my vids site that is online, http://gwynethr.net... )

Thank you for linking to your vid! It was fantastic. You really made the most of the Wild West visuals they are so generous with in the show. I'm not sure you quite sold me on the Chris/Vin, but that's only because I have my heart set on Ezra/Nathan. I like that whole frenemy vibe they have going on.

Gimme horses and creaking leather and dust and rotgut whiskey any day

I think I'm with you. Taking them out of the West kinda defeats the purpose of the show. Also, I like the idea of writers having to come up with creative ways of dealing with a slash relationship back in the days when it was truly taboo.

Oh, thank you! I'm not sure if Chris/Vin is going to be my pairing of choice, but quality is quality, so I'll give it a shot.

I'm normally not into Westerns, but there's something about the set-up of the show that just screams slash to me. And I go where the slash is. :)

I haven't read her Mag 7 fics, but I generally like the writing of atdelphi who has a number of fics in that fandom here: http://delphi.popullus.net/library/m7.html

Thank you! I like the fact that most of her fic features Ezra. He's like my go-to character in the show.

I tend to be a Vin/Ezra girl, but there's a lot of fabulous stuff in M7 - especially since there are so many AUs that people play in. Try the recs/overview on crack_van.

Also, try Black Raptor - this will give you other links you can follow as well.

Thank you the Black Raptor link. That site does a good job of labeling all of the various alternate universes. I'm a little confused, so the visual references are helpful indeed.

I think I'm going to turn out to be a Ezra/anyone girl. I just found a Vin/Ezra 300K epic via crack_van. I'm gonna wallow tonight! :)

Is that Auburn's The Tale of a Deed? It's epic and so hurt-comforty. One of my faves. I wrote a missing (slash) scene for it. It's on my LJ and my website if you're interested. Happy reading.

No, it was this one: http://www.geocities.com/kslmag7/learningtoimprovise.html

I've downloaded the Auburn one as well, I just haven't gotten to it yet. The promise of hurt/comfort is very enticing, so I'm looking forward to it.
