And that is one of my favorite things about Kanju

I went to see 少年たち〜格子無き牢獄 for my second and last time today and was heavily relieved to find that I enjoyed it a lot more this time around.  It probably has a little to do with the fact that I already know the story and didn't need to take the time to figure that out, but overall, they were better into their roles.  I felt somewhat detached the first time I saw it, but this time, I felt like I was pulled in.  Teared twice.

Also turns out that there are a few songs that I really like.  Akito and Kamiyama's duet for example.  I think last time I was so preoccupied by the songs that I didn't like that I forgot about the ones that I did.

Some highlights
-  This time, when Kunta asked Bun-chan for a kiss, Bun-chan called him hageshii (intense; fierce) to which Kunta responded by singing the chorus of KAT-TUN's Lips.

-  Instead of only putting Kikuoka's hands in shackles, they used two and attached his hands and feet.  He could still move around, but he was slightly slouched like a monkey.

-  Tatsuta brought out a Rolie Polie Olie plush and said that it was his aibo, Muro Tatsuki and then proceeded to sing Muro's common gag.  Muro tosses the plush off stage and Tatsuta chased after it, tripping at the last minute.  There was a huge crash sound effect and all of Veteran just stopped moving and stared for a second before Muro and Ito had to turn away to laugh, while the others stood there trying to figure out when Tatsuta had managed to set all that up.

-  There's this part where Ito is pretending to be a statue so that he can spy on the inmates.  Akito, Junta, Reiya, Senzaki, and Masaya (the youngest Muro) are in courtyard and are supposed to be cleaning, but then Akito pulls out this long elastic band/strip (about 3 inches wide and maybe a yard long?).  There's this game/challenge that guys do sometimes where you have two people and they each bite one end of the elastic.  I think you can see where this is going.  They move back away from each other until one person can hold on any longer and lets go, slapping the other person in the face with the elastic.

One is always Ito.  The last time I went, Akito was the opponent.  Today, they all really looked like they didn't want to do it, so Akito looked offstage and pointed, saying, "How about you?"  He walks off stage for a sec and brings Kunta back out with him.  They way they've scripted this section, Ito is always the one to let go, but Kunta was laughing and accidentally let go.  Kunta's definitely getting it later.

-  At one point, Takemoto bounced up to Daichi and was like, "Dai-chan!" in a really cute, kicked puppy voice.  There was a collective squeal from the audience and Daichi started laughing.

Then, when they're all doing their parts to plan their escape, Akito and Takemoto are paired together.  Takemoto does his part and Akito praises him.  Takemoto gets in Akito's face and in that same cute voice goes, "Ak-kun!" and it really looked like they were gonna kiss.  So cute and totally gets away with EVERYTHING.

-  During Showtime, quite possibly during VIP, the main Jr. Boys are dancing on the stairs behind BAD, Gang Star, and the other Jr. Boys.  When Matori came down the stairs and turned to his right to move help move the stairs into a different formation, Kusumoto was right there.  Matori didn't slow down at all and threw his arms around Kusumoto's waist, attaching himself.  Kusumoto's feet didn't move, but starts to bend backwards and suddenly, Matori was laying (not dropping) Kusumoto on his back and Matori was straddling/standing over him.  It happened rather quickly and I could only tell it was Kusumoto because of the color of his shirt.

I don't even need to make things up.  They do it on their own.

-  And while I'm talking about Matori, he trimmed his hair a little bit since the last time I saw him and it's darker.  Not as dark as it was before, but a nice middle ground between the blonde and chocolate brown.  Still like it, but it's a little harder to spot him... besides the fact that he's totally the smallest of the main Jr.Boys.  I think he comes up to Ota's nose.

And thank you Patri for letting me use your binoculars whenever Jr.Boys came onto the stage.  So very much appreciated!

-  When one of the new inmates came in, Kaneuchi said that he wants to be like Ryuta, but he messed up on saying Ryuta's name.  And then Muro said that on the train, Ryuta falls asleep on his shoulder, which Ryuta denied (but no one listened).  LOL.  I really love how Muro's all BROTHERLY LOVE! and Ryuta's like, GET OFF ME!

-  Dai-chan and Kunta do this mirror thing where Kunta is Dai-chan's reflection.  They do things like a synchronized dance, bouncing a basketball, and eating a banana.  Today, Kunta lost control of the basketball and had to chase after it.  SUPER CUTE~!  And him with the banana should be gross, but it's Kunta, so that too is really cute.

Too tired.  Will finish tomorrow.   (u.u)..zZ
