Rape is always a he said/she said situation.

And I don't take chances. I don't *fear* for my safety, but it certainly doesn't help being prepared. You would be amazed to know how many women have no idea what to do if they were raped.

Besides, what if he IS lying? Someone who rapes a woman doesn't stop after his first attack. And there he is... knee deep in women.

And like I've already said... if he ISN'T lying... then thre's no need to worry, but at least we were better safe than sorry.

I can't pass judgement. But I can keep myself safe with a potential rapist on campus.

I still don't understand why it is that this crime is ranked one of the lowest in priority on the list. People don't see it as a crime. Most people believe the victim deserved it. I agree that the few girls who consentually had sex with someone, then later regretted it and cried rape basically corrupted the system that is supposed to help them. Now no one wants to believe the victim, because she might just be a spiteful one night stand. But you really can't take the chance when someone else's safety is potentially in danger. I HOPE the guy is innocent. But.. what if he isn't?
