[Anyone who's been to the clinic sometime in the past few weeks may or may not have heard a sound that they might not have been used to hearing, though could have had difficulty placing it. Raine's room is near the back of the clinic, and well insulated, though occasionally the faint sound of a baby's cry might slip through.

[This Raine hardly leaves the clinic these days for various reasons, one of them fairly easy to tell by the look of her, though today she's also ventured outside the building for a little bit of fresh air -- carefully bundled up in layers and a warm looking cloak. Not to go anywhere, really; just to observe the falling snow.]

[Raine is outside, preparing to take a walk over to the clinic -- when a wave of pain strikes her, and she crumbles down against the wall of a nearby building, looking very pale and trembling all over.
