It was a bit of sad day at the backside stable of PetitJean Racing. Several of the horses were leaving for new careers in fields other than racing. Love Drown Softly and Evil All the Time had left the week before going to a local stable to be re-trained as hunter/jumpers. The very sweet chesnut Cedar Falls had left earlier in the day to go to a therapeutic riding center. Margaret Maid of Norway (named for a Scottish Queen) left for a show barn. The old boys Aonaran Bremen and Aqua Speedster had left to get some R&R at the farm and to see how they would do as trail horses for the stable's owner. But as one group of horses left the vans with the new two year olds came in. As always new hopes and dreams came riding in with them.
