It has been an amazing year here at PetitJean Stable. Our first homebreds hit the track and did not disappoint. Purlioner of Purses, Mon Belle Cheri, Lleaud, Kissabull and Wishabull, and Boo's Luv-A-Bull all won first time out. Serenade for a Kiss managed second in spite of suffering a bout of EIPH. Kissabull and Wishabull then made us even more proud by winning his second start! What a wonderful plus for his sire Bull Lea! The stable was a bit sad to see Vampire Hunter leave for a new career as an eventer. He was an interesting character around the barn but it was his breeder's request that he not be run for a tag and unfortunately our trainer never could quite get him up enough in level. Dawn Quixote also left the main barn to retire to the breeding shed. Meanwhile our old boy, Aonaran Breman, is still tearing up the track in the 50k claimers and has gone 5 for 6 this year. We are also anticipating the retirement of stallion Bloody Crazy and our wonderful mare Altesse Royale to the breeding shed at the end of the year. Eight year old Bloody Crazy has stayed competitive this year running 4-2-2-0. He is a consistent runner posting speed figs in the high 90's to 100's this year and last year ran a career best of 112.1! With foundation sire Hershey Kiss top and bottom we expect he will make a wonderful breeding stallion. Little ole Altesse hasn't finished out of the money this year with a record of 5-3-1-1 and is still popping 100+ ratings. With her solid consistent perfomances we are hoping she will produce some outstanding foals. Another of the star mares in the barn will return next year. Shelter Island has been just "wow" recently winning her last race with a speed fig just over 10 points higher than her previous best! Way to go girl!
The new yearlings are beginning to start their training and they look great. We have several by freshman stallions and are eager to see how they run.

Our final 2 yearlings are:
