Ten Days

Time just flies by.

In follow-up to my last post of December 7th:

December 7: The Dalliance / Monks of Mellonwah show in Brookfield CT  was terrific. Dinner with The Dalliance beforehand meant missing most of the local opening acts (two of which apparently were quite good), but the Monks put on a great show. Even though they were the headliners, they needed to get on the road to their next gig, so The Dalliance ended up closing the show with a great set that included two new songs and an "everyone sit on the floor campfire-style" version of "A Quiet Calm." Also, that random moment in the middle of a song where the drummer shouts out "Oppa Gangnam Style" and I proceed to laugh so hard I start coughing? Yeah. That.

December 8: Company holiday party was hysterical as usual. I think I take more enjoyment in watching people get drunk than I should.

December 9: Hollywood Ending show on Long Island was a bit stressful to get to/from thanks to tthe rainy cold weather. This was the largest crowd the boys have had on the east coast, I believe. I was unfamiliar with most of the opening acts (Psanders, Love in Motion, Nick Tangorra) but liked Nothing But Thieves (Brit band who are also handled by HE's managers).

December 10-11: Taught in Hartford. Watched Taken 2 on the hotel pay-per-view. Liam Neeson kicks ass.

December 12: Slept all day with a head cold.

December 13-14: In office. Writing & such at nights.

This past weekend: Christmas tree up & decorated. Annual holiday card written and printed, but still need to address & send out. Lots of laundry. Lots of proofreading for Lightspeed magazine. Finally moved a bunch of music from the old laptop to the new laptop. Took my sister and the kids out for dinner. Spent time with friends. Posted a new interview to my site. Most productive weekend of the past 6 months, for sure.

Speaking of the interview: it's with the lovely and talented Eden Espinosa, Broadway and recording artist, and it's at www.anthonycardno.com
