We're all doing OK. Aaron was made a full time employee at Whole Foods with benefits and sick days and paid vacation, which is very nice. It isn't as though he wants to make that his lifetime career, but it's about time they promoted him to full time and gave him the perks that go with it.

Sarah just landed a full time job - just yesterday! She finished her publishing internship at the end of December and has been working part time at Banana Republic while looking for a real job. She'd prefer to find one in publishing, but those are very hard to come by. She's been haunting the job ads on Craig's List and last Friday she spotted a new one for an administrative assistant in Manhattan. She sent in her resume and got a call back in 10 minutes asking her to come in for an interview on Saturday morning. Yeah, I know, right? Saturday morning in NYC? So she went and yesterday morning they called her to offer her the job. It's a real salary, with full benefits after 3 months. She'll be working for a company that does fire prevention consulting and installation. The office is in midtown on 37th Street right near 5th Avenue.

Again, it isn't what she wants for a career, but it is a start and I'm really proud of her.

David is still miserable at work but he has QUIT smoking and I am very proud of him too. His mom is fairly happily settled in the assisted living facility in Rochester and he's been up to see her several times. I'll probably bite the bullet and go with him in the spring. Oy.

I'm doing all right - work is nuts, but I have an office again, which is wonderful. The broken wrist has healed, I'm over the holiday pneumonia and we're all coping with the insane cold and snow. How many days until Spring?

I still wish you and M would join Facebook so we could keep up properly, but we still have LJ and the occasional tweet. I'll have to be content with that.

:)

Miss you!
