Lorinwen saw Legolas lying in a pool of his own blood. Goblins, orcs, and wargs were surroundin him. He was there calling her name. She stood on the side held back by orcs and goblins. He kept calling her name. As a warg went down, she screamed his name. She closed her eyes and heard his screams.
She woke up crying. It was just a dream. she thought. Legolas was asleep next to her bed. Lothien, Astald, and Galenien were with his father. That was her greatest fear. Watching her love be killed before her eyes. As she sat crying Legolas awoke. He saw her crying.
“What is it?” he asked her.
“I had an awful dream,” she said, “I saw orcs, goblins, and wargs. They were standing over a body that was lying in a poll of blood. They held me back so I couldn’t do anything. I heard my name called as a warg went down. I closed my eyes and heard screams.”
“Who was it?” he asked.
“You.” she said.
He stood up and walked over to her. He sat on the bed next to her. He put his arm around her shoulder.
“You don’t have to worry,” he said, “that won’t happen to me.”
“What if it does?” she asked.
“It won’t.” he said.
“I just always see that happening,” she said, “they say that’s what happened to Valandil.”
“Don’t worry.” he said.
