Part VIII (I hope this is the right number)

After Legolas had slain all the goblins he ran to Lorinwen. Her eyes were closed. He picked up and rode back. She was limp and that worried him. He got her back and ran her to the doctors.
“Can you help her?” he asked the doctors.
“We can try.” one said.
She opened her eyes. She found herself in a bright room. She looked around and saw him sitting by the white bed she was in. She to reach out for his hand. She tried, but couldn’t move her hand. She was too weak for too tried. She figured both. Very quietly she said, “Legolas.”
He looked at her. He grabbed her hand.
“I’ll never let go.” he said.
“I don’t want you to.” she whispered.
He placed her hand back down on the bed. He stood up and opened the door. Lothien, Astald, and Galenien came in. Lothien went running over to the bed. Lorinwen could see tears in her eyes. Lorinwen forced her hand to reach up and touch Lothien’s cheek. Lothien put her hand on her mother’s.
“I’m going to be fine.” Lorinwen said.
Next was Astald. He was almost two that day. He told himself he wasn’t going to cry. But when he saw his mother on the bed, he couldn’t stop. Lorinwen looked at him and saw Valandil. Legolas set Galenien next to Lorinwen. She was a symbol of the love between Legolas and Lorinwen. A baby barley over six months. Galenien had no idea what was going on. She just gave her mother a big smile.
