What We Did This Weekend

Oct 13, 2008 10:44

We got out of bed early on Saturday morning, packed the car with our camera equipment and some snack and lunch stuff and headed south for some fall pictures.  I got a few good ones.

First stop was Wabasha and I got a few pictures of one eagle.

Then we continued north on Highway 61 until we got to Lake City.  We spent a few hours there having lunch and hanging out on the beach picking up shells and agates.  We also got some pictures of sail boats and kayakers.  I made the observation that when you see a group of them from some distance away, they look like little water bugs scurrying across the water.

Then we stopped at Colville Park in Red Wing and did not see any eagles; we saw a lot of gulls but no eagles.  We probably spent an hour there walking around.

We stopped in Burnsville for supper and made it home by 7:00 p.m.

Yesterday was spent in agony.  I got into something that had my sinuses going crazy.  Needless to say, I woke up this morning with an infection and have to go and see my ENT again but this time for my sinus.  I spent the day with hot packs on my face and taking a lot of Advil for the pain.

I'm going to bring my laptop to work tomorrow so that I can get my pictures posted to my photo album.
