So apparently Avatar: the Last Airbender, despite being set in an Asian world with arguably all Asian characters, has just had the core cast of its impending live-action movie announced, and they're all... White. And unknown. Apparently there were no Asian volunteers to be had. The points as to why this matters are summed up pretty well at this journal entry.
