what does the sky reply?
So I have nothing to talk about but I do bring you a bit of an extended Being Human series two premiere spam with thoughts. This episode was just so fucking gorgeous I had to spam it!
(I do have a help request, though. Can anyone link me to a good step by step tutorial for how to make gifs in Photoshop CS4? I downloaded the bugger just to make prettier gifs and I cannot figure it out, even though I've looked for tutorials and help here and there. A guide for dummies, would be nice. lol)
Being Human 2.01
Well, that was not what I was expecting at all. They're really going for the throat this series, aren't they? I don't mind how dark this episode was, but I do hope for some lighter moments in the future. Especially between Annie and Mitchell cause, um, they're the best? And Mitchell still has that special Annie!smile just for occasions when she does something that makes him squee. I don't expect them to get together this series, that's a given, but more happy moments in general would be great.
I don't like any of the new characters. Ivan is forgettable, Lucy even more so, and Daisy is so the new Lauren it's not even funny. At all. Because I hate her. She's so grating I don't know if they expected us to have surprise sympathy for her at the end with her daughter but I wasn't buying it. She's just like the cliche crazy monster and the actress is pretty horrible. But I don't think the writing staff has ever written good secondary characters, Nina being the exception.
Who isn't secondary anymore! I didn't really have any strong feelings for Nina last series but I fucking loved her in this episode. Probably because she had tons more to do. lol And she kept breaking my heart and I just really love her storyline. I don't know what to think about George. I get his angst and his guilt but he's made this whole thing about himself and really George, Nina is a fucking werewolf, okay? You know what that's like. This isn't about you. But their scenes were lovely in a heartbreaking way.
I love Mitchell but he was almost as forgettable as the new characters in this episode. He wasn't as much of a twat as George but he did his share of douching around but he mostly lurked and moped. lol I hope he's snapped out of it a bit.
And Annie! Our ray of sunshine! Thank goodness for Annie. She's the only one still holding on to her "life". Although she went through more of a change last series than a scaring experience so it makes sense that she's not moping along with the rest. Her love interests are boring, though. But she's adorable as a barmaid. I just wonder if anyone will mention the fact that she comes in everyday in the same clothes? lol And I love her friendship with Nina, Annie totally needs a girlfriend around!
