I have a cold, and it makes me sad and stuffy. :( Thus, I bring happy fic recs:
Torchwood:
Trying to Communicate {1442w, PG} by sam_storyteller. Ianto, Jack, Owen, Tosh, Gwen. I'm still very much a Torchwood newbie--not even through season 1 yet--but this still keeled me ded. A hilarious, cracky story involving Torchwood and the internetz. | "Owen," he said, and Owen swung around, gun pointed in his direction. Ianto squeezed his eyes shut. "There's something on my back."
Heroes/Iron Man crossover:
Birds of a Feather {587w, light NC17}, Smoke Signals {1046w, R}, and Way From Normal {2656w, NC17} by cerebel. Nathan Petrelli/Tony Stark. The pairing didn't occur to me until I came across these fics, yet cerebel does an excellent job conveying their personalities and chemistry, especially through dialogue. | From Birds of a Feather: As they’re leaving the conference room, Nathan slides a hand onto the small of Tony’s back, pulling him close. “You can fly at Mach one without a plane,” he says, low. // “Why stop at Mach one?” returns Tony. // Nathan quirks an eyebrow. “I can fly at Mach one,” he murmurs, “without a suit.”
