"Teeeet-chaaaan..."
The cheerful voice echoed through the hallways early that morning, filling the house with the sort of brightness that was reserved for moments of pure happiness, joy, and silliness.
Except it was six in the morning. Six in the morning and it was a Sunday, of all days.
Nevertheless, the call served its purpose - Tetsuya rolled over with a faint groan, eyes fluttering open and then slipping shut, a grimace appearing on the bassist's face as he was forced to awaken far earlier than when he had anticipated getting up.
When the call was repeated, he groaned again but rolled over, opening his eyes again, seeking out the clock. There was a moment where he simply stared, and then his eyes widened, face a perfect portrayal of disbelief. Tetsuya's next move was to roll back over and bury his face in the pillow, determined to go back to sleep until he heard footsteps thundering up the hallway.
Oh hell no.
A second later a bouncy, cheerful, awake Takanori entered the room, reaching for his lover's shoulder an shaking him gently with a broad smile. "Tet-chan, wake up already!"
Tetsuya rolled back over, managing an even stare at his lover, who looked almost like a puppy, when he thought about it. There was an instant spent wondering what exactly had possessed the younger man to wake up so early, and then he remembered that he had been woken up rather abruptly and glared with all the ferocity he could muster which, admittedly, was about as much ferocity as the bedsheets had. "It's early," he mumbled out, to which Takanori simply grinned.
"The supermarkets are already open." The bassist's glare was simply ignored as the small vocalist sat down, an air of excitement around him as he looked back at his sleepy companion.
"It's -" Tetsuya went to retort, glancing over at the clock, careful to annunciate his words so that they would sink in, "five past six. It's early. We went to bed two hours ago."
Takanori's enthusiasm went uncurbed though, sparked by something and apparently unwilling to fade for such a simple trifle as, say, sleepiness.
"But the supermarket we always go to has Gundam-shaped cakes!"
Tetsuya's mouth dropped open, staring at his lover, apparently lacking the words to reply for a moment. It was a half-minute later that he managed, "And you found this out how...?"
"Toshiyuki called and told me," the little vocalist grinned, and Tetsuya groaned softly, defeated. As much as he loved Takanori, there were times... His eyes widened when a thought occurred to him.
"No inviting Gackt over! Go get your cake if you want, but we are not having a Gundam party!"
From where he had gotten up to retrieve his shoes, Takanori looked back and smiled, eyes happy. "Don't worry," he chirped, returning to the bed with his shoes, sitting down to put them on. "I wanted to share it with you."
As the smaller man returned to putting his shoes on, Tetsu snorted softly and then smiled, amused. Leave it to Takanori to wake him up for the silliest things and then turn it into something cute.
Even if that cute happened to be spawned by an obsession with a children's show that caused him to be woken up at no-o'clock in the morning. Tetsuya rolled his eyes and then closed them, ready to go back to sleep.
"See you later, love you," the bassist murmured, rolling onto his side. A soft kiss was pressed to his cheek and he moved, capturing his lover's lips for a brief second before the vocalist was off, beading towards the door. "Come back to bed when you get back," he added drowsily, already drifting off again.
There was a whine from the doorway. "But Tet-chan," Takanori began and the older man just sighed, already mourning the loss of sleep, "when I get home we have to eat it!"
His only answer was a loud groan.
