He wanted to be sure.
He couldn’t do that to any of them, but especially Dean or Jo. They didn’t deserve to have him say he was done and have it be like the previous time with Ruby. That was cruel and unusual punishment of the worst kind, and he needed to be sure that he was done. And considering he didn’t reach this point the last time around

He tilted his head back into the water, washing out the last of the shampoo from his eyes, before he poked his head around the corner of the shower curtain, not even bothering to play innocent with her right then. He knew that was probably only going to get him punched, and that wasn't the reaction he was looking for at the moment.
"Yeah?"

Shoving the toothbrush into her mouth she turned around and pressed her hand to his cheek, the damp of his skin hitting her palm as she just looked at him. Letting her hand slip from his features she started to brush her teeth, "You should've woken me."

He knew that she probably wouldn't have cared, but he hadn't had a real shower in weeks, it felt like. He wasn't going to subject her to that -- he didn't really consider that entirely fair.

"I did your laundry already, I've had a lot of spare time on my hands. You should be fine," Jo interjected. Turning on the water slowly, Jo cupped her hand under the slow trickle, letting the water pool against her palm until there was enough to rinse her mouth.
Tapping her brush on the edge of the sink she tossed it into the cup, grabbing Sam's brush next. Putting toothpaste on it, she moved toward the curtain shoving her hand, brush there, toward him, "Does Dean know you're up?"

As he fished speaking her started brushing his teeth, only pausing when he had to to spit the toothpaste into the drain.

Yawning, she stretched again, "Water hot enough for you? It's like a steam room in here."
Peeling her shirt off she ran her hand through her hair, then moved to shed her jeans and underwear. Her hand reached to feel the temperature of the water, poking her head behind the curtain, "Jesus Sam, are you trying to cook yourself?"

His hand moved to the temperature of the water to turn it down, and hoping the hot water didn't fizzle out entirely. After that, he glanced back at her over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow.
"You getting in?"

It wasn't as if she was planning on some sort of sexual rendezvous - though the thought could've been there for a moment - she was trying to be practical, and close to him since it had been a long time since she had been.
Once the water didn't seem to be the immediate first degree burn temperature she slipped in between him and the faucets, knowing that if he was in front of her she'd never get any of the water. Her hand pulled the shower head to tip down more, as she tipped her head back to wet her hair smirking at him, "Plus I'm making sure you're actually clean."

"I've missed you," she knew that he knew it, but it was more than just him being locked up those past few weeks. It was from before, and in a way she felt like she really had just found him again. Jo let her hand reach for the shampoo, pooling some in her palm before it goes into her hair, lathering up as she smiled up at him.

"So what else have I missed?"

"I think Chuck and Amy have some odd alliance formed, but that was before she left. Ruby is still MIA with Castiel too, he took her one morning and she hasn't been back. I'm sure now that you're out of there, it'll change."
The water was turning a bit cold, but she stood under it all the same, rinsing soapy suds from her skin. "Mostly it's been a case of how long will Bobby leave us alone before he comes back to see if his house is still standing."
Turning the water off she twisted her hair, wringing it out a bit, before stepping out of the shower and reaching for a towel to wrap around herself, "Pretty much business as usual."

"Someone did promise Bobby that we wouldn't destroy his house, didn't they?" Sam asked with a bit of an eyebrow arch as he watched her. "I mean, we do have some respect for his stuff." He smirked. "Just not his space."
