My first day back in Vancouver has finally wound down to an exhausted but mostly contented lying in bed. Firstly, no one should have to arrive at the airport at 12:15, only get through check-in at 2 and then be delayed in the airport for hours so that they get home after 2 a.m. in a timezone 2 hours different than the one they flew out off. Yes thats right I arrived at the St.Paul/Minneapolis airport around noon and got home around 4 a.m. central time-a little ridiculous?
2nd, I read an amazing book. An inspiring book and I want everyone to read it-especially my friends that are girls! The book, "Off The Map", is actually more of a zine about loving, hopeful, anti-capitalist young women who go to Europe on no money with just a backpack each and the courage to chase after their dreams. The zine is a record of their experience staying in squats and hitchhiking, meeting angels, and discovering that what they want is possible if they make it happen.
I bought a mini chair/futon today I just set it up and am quite comfortable. I still haven't gotten a chance to see Scott(via video chat) but his brief call today was charming and lit up my already fairly nice mood. Please everyone write me lovenotes this summer, show up on my doorstop , come camping etc... I promise to love you back
Heart,
Morgan
