Chapter Four
It was one year ago, when Aiko and Riko have just transferred over to this school not long.
"Class, we are having two new students today," the form teacher announced. Murmurs could be heard from the whole class. After all, it was definitely weird to transfer school at this timing, and that provided, two students? Such a weird thing to happen in school.
"Sensei, are they girls or boys?" Yamada, being the outspoken one spoke.
"They're both girls," once the teacher spoke finished, he turned towards the door, and signalled the girls to enter. "Enter,"
The door to the classroom opened, and in came was two girls. One girl with long straight black hair, with the other have tied up her hair into a ponytail, with her fringe covering about nearly half of her forehead. Both entered elegantly, as they turned themselves, their hair was as if dancing in the atmosphere.
The girl with straight black hair spoke first. "Nice to meet you, I'm Takasugi Riko,"
The other one looked at the teacher, and then she flashed the brightest smile you could ever see. "Sugihara Aiko desu yo! Yoroshiku ne!"
After introducing themselves, the teachers motioned them to sit at the back of the classrooms, the last two seats. During break time, lots of the students left the classroom. "Aiko-chan, Japanese students aren't so friendly as Singapore's right?"
Aiko nodded. Just then, three boys approached them, and at that time, they were speaking in English. "And, I think I still pre--" Aiko was talking, when a voice cut her off.
"Um, Hello!" Both girls turned, and they were faced with three boys. Riko widened her eyes. "Yamada Ryousuke, Nakajima Yuto, Chinen Yuri! I.. I ..." Riko then turned away, her face flushing red.
"Ah, they're JUMP ne?" Aiko commented, as she twirled her pen on her fingers. Riko, with her back facing the three of them nodded her head.
"Sorry, she's a major fan of yours," Aiko commented again. "And you?" Chinen asked.
"Me? Nah, I'm more into NEWS," Aiko said, as she started digging her bag, and showing them her NEWS notebook.
Yuto then patted Riko's shoulder. "Yoroshiku ne, Riko-san,"
Riko turned behind, "Yo.. Yoroshiku!"
Soon, five of them became quite close, and they practically almost hand out with each other everytime. Yet, Chinen started avoiding the girls, for what reasons, only Chinen himself knows.
"Nakajima.. Nakajima?" Riko asked, her face was facing down. Yuto turned around, "Riko-san? What's wrong?"
"Can..Can i meet you after school?" Riko asked. Aiko was at a corner, smiling away. She know what Riko is up to. After all, she was the one who instigated Riko to do it. Yuto smiled. "Sure!"
Aiko followed behind Riko, but making sure a distance was kept. Aiko then feel frustrated. "And then, why are you even here?" Aiko looked towards Yamada, who have followed behind as well. Yamada just laughed bitterly.
"Nakajima-san, I... I..." Riko mumbled. Her words unclear, her voice was obviously shaking. "I..."
Yuto then saw that Riko was nervous. He then calmed her down, before allowing her to speak again. "Nakajima-san, I like you, please go out with me!"
Yuto was taken aback by the confession. He looked down onto the floor. How good if Takasugi is Yamada. Wait, what is he thinking? Yamada would not like him, that's for sure! Yuto scractched the back of his head. Probably being with Riko, might make him forget his feelings for Yamada. Yuto then straightened his back, "Sure!"
Riko looked up, with tears at the tip of her eyes. "Re.. Really?" Yuto nodded his head, while smiling. This can make Riko cry. Her tears flowed down from the tip of her eyes. Yuto pulled her in for a hug. "Sorry, did i hurt you?"
"No.. I'm just .. very happy," Riko mumbled, as she attempted to wipe away her tears. Yuto pushed her up, and using his thumb, he dried her tears. "You shall not cry from now on, I'll be here to protect you, ne?"
Riko embraced in for another hug.
Aiko then stood up, and walked away. "Hey! Where are you going?" Yamada stopped Aiko.
"Eh? Going? Of course home! I don't want to disturb both of them over there," Aiko said, as she turned around, and walked. She then waved her hand, "Cha!"
Never did she expect that Yamada was crying bitterly in his heart.
