Chapter Three
"Aiko-chan, good morning...." Riko greeted Aiko. When Aiko turned around, she nearly had a shock of her life, she retracted back, as she almost screamed out, "Who the hell are you!?"
Riko looked up, "Eh?"
"Ah! Riko-chan! What's up with your huge eyebags!?" Aiko sounded, as she straightened herself back again, and tidied her uniform. "Ahhh... This? Just.... Insomnia..." Riko mumbled, her words not clear, jumbled up. Aiko then digged into her bag, before grabbing out a comb. She walked behind to where Riko is, and started combing her hair. "You're bad, don't you know a girl's image is the most important?" Riko got jolted back from her dazzy mode as she felt Aiko's comb coming down her long hair. "Thanks, Aiko-chan,"
Aiko smiled, of course, Riko was unable to see it, with her back facing her. "There you go, you're much more tidier now," Aiko sounded, as she pushed Riko's head slightly. "Thanks, Aiko-chan!"
"Is there a need to keep repeating your gratitude?" Aiko teased, as she put the comb back into her bag, flung it behind her shoulder, and walked off. Riko then chased after her, "Hehe, of course!" Aiko smiled, once again.
When they reached the classroom, both of them settled into their own seats. Just then, Chinen approached Aiko. "Aiko-chan, are .. are you free next saturday?" Aiko looked up, and faced Chinen. "Not.. free?" Chinen stammered. He did not dare to look into Aiko's eyes, he was afriad of rejection. Aiko looked over to where Riko was standing. Her mouth was wide opened. She never thought that Chinen will be that fast, yes, that fast.
"Sure," Aiko agreed, as she thought back of what Riko told her the previous night.
'Fall in love! Let yourself fall in love!' Aiko smiled to herself, as she turned back to her desk and gazed at the keychain on her bag. "Aiko, it's probably time for you to give up,"
"Yuto-kun!" Riko called out to him. She ran towards Yuto, as she bowed down. "I'm sorry, I'm late.. To think you've asked me to meet for lunch.." Yuto smiled, and patted Riko's head, "It's okay, Riko. I wasn't really waiting anyway," with that, Yuto walked away from the fence, and towards the centre of the rooftop. Riko glanced down from where Yuto was standing previously, and she saw that familiar figure at the court playing basketball with his friends.
Yamada Ryousuke. Why, why is it him again?
Riko's one bad habit is- she thinks too much. But, is she really thinking too much, or that, is she really the one who guesses everything correct. Riko stood at the fence, as she clucthes tightly onto the fence. "Riko? What are you doing?" Yuto asked, which jolted Riko out from her thoughts. She hurriedly ran over to where Yuto is, sat down, and opens up her bento. Layer after layer, she seperated the foods. The spread made Yuto's mouth drools. Slowly picking out the pickles, she passed the finished bowl to Yuto. "Yuto-kun, here," she took up the bowl, and passed it over to Yuto. Yuto took it over, and nodded his head. "Thanks! Itadakimasu!"
"Oishi(delicious)!" Yuto exclaimed upon his first bite. Riko giggled, before she took over the packet drink on the floor, and opened it up for Yuto. "I made extra today, I just felt that Yuto-kun should eat more," as she opened the straw plastic, and use one of the layer of the bento to stop the plastic from flying away. "Yuto-kun should enjoy lunch the most, ne?" Riko continued, as she poked the straw through the drink hole. "Here!" she passed the packet drink over to Yuto.
"Thanks!" Yuto took over the packet drink, and got a sip. "You're the best girlfriend ever,"
Riko blushed. She was glad that Yuto enjoyed it, and she then dismissed the thoughts of Yamada and Yuto as her crazy hallucinations. There's no way Yuto would betray her, ne?
"Aiko-chan, when are you going out with Chinen?" Riko came over after the lunch break. "Eh? When? I think it's next saturday," Aiko replied, as she was busying reading her newly bought storybook.
"Oh! Ahh, how i wish i can tag along!" Riko grumbled, a sign to ask Aiko to bring her along. "Eh? I thought Nakajima is coming along as well?" She replied, without stopping her reading. Riko pouted face suddenly changed to an expression of shockness. "EH!? Yuto-kun never tell me anything!"
"Haha, probably he want some guys time?" Aiko stopped, this time looking up to Riko. "Guys time? Aiko-chan is not a guy!" Riko grumbled. Aiko shrugged her shoulders. "I probably heard it wrongly," Aiko said, as she turned her head, and went back into reading her storybook. Riko looked at Aiko, before shaking her head. "Stop thinking so much, Riko!"
But yet, crazy hallucinations were back to haunt her. What was this scary feeling she is feeling? It seemed that something crazy, stupid, and bad is about to happen..
