I watched Hokuto playing a chair twice and cried both times

Once on IMAX and honestly if you get the chance choose the IMAX. Shinkai Makoto's movies are amazing on it.

The IMAX experience came with some seat kicking so I went to the other cinema near me yesterday to watch it again (a Toho this time cause I figured they'd have more merchs. And they did).

I got a pamphlet both times so yay.

As a really judgy seiyuu fans who never enjoyed a single voice acting performance by a non-seiyuu I'm very very pleasantly surprised by both leads, they did amazingly. Hokuto like I've said on twitter doesn't necessarily sound like a different person, but the technicalities of his vocal acting are v impressive. Gaps between words, the way he paces his breathing. The way he interprets audible inhaling and exhaling.

The laughing is tricky and will probably get better with more practice, but again I never liked laughing vocal acting from non-seiyuus. I'm glad he's been getting rave reviews for this role, Hokuto very much deserves it. Well done bb I'm so proud of you!

The merchs I got:

PS: I'll never get over the fact that Souta and Serizawa are my kouhais from uni and that I got to see (the animated version of) my Student ID Card on the big screen, lol. Such a brainfuck, that.
