(no subject)
today was a busy busy day. i had work at 9. it sucked. not the working, but around 10, this kid came in with his grandma. he was terribly scarred. almost no facial features. it just looked like he had a bumpy rubber mask on. he was a sweet kid though. as i was ringing them up, kelly and i heard him whisper to his grandma that "the girl in the green shirt is hot." well, grandma just had to tell us. heh. it turns out the kid was in a really bad fire 2 years ago, and 90% of his body was burned. hes had 89 surgeries, and more to come. when grandma asked my name, the kid told me that was his mom's name. same spelling and all. she died in the fire. he gave me a hug, and they left. i had to go in the bathroom for a bit because i started to get a little misty eyed.
the poor kid didnt even have eyelids or ears. his eyes looked like theyd just pulled some skin down to protect them, and there were smaller strands of skin at the corners to keep the pieces together.
actually, i got hit on a lot today. later at work, one of the mexicans in the back gave me a rose and told me i should be his wife. kinda creepy, but cute. and tonight, i was out with lindsay and scott. we went to scott's friends house for a little. he was huge. 7'1" and 400 pounds. when we were leaving and saying goodbye, the big guy says "...and robbyn, you can stop by any time you want hun." i giggled and said "yea, ill bring my boyfriend." we laughed the whole ride home.
im sitting here bored now. no one to talk to. i think alex is still at work, and im assuming going to 80's night afterward. boooo.
