Hot Topic is traded as "HOTT" on the NASDAQ

Trendy clothes have always been one of the many big concerns of teens for decades now. (Mainly moronic pre-teen girls.) Now, I'm not saying that being cutiefuck little trend-starters isn't a good thing. Just look at Kill and me, we are the apitimy of taintilizing hawtness. We start so many trends that rival corporations have to result to fucking each other up the ass just to keep up with us. They fail. There is, however, a difference between being a genuine trend-starter, and some pseudo-wannabe hipster who tries to be original but ends up coming off looking like a moron. These "pseudo hipsters" are not few and far between either. They are massing quite a little army. You know who I'm refering to as you all probably have several in your school. Their goal: To try to make you feel like an unoriginal fool just because you don't wear all black and pretend to be depressed all day. Their base of operations: Hot Topic.

Here is how Hot Topic describes itself on it's site: What is Hot Topic?
Hot Topic is a mall-based chain of retail stores that specializes in apparel, accessories, gifts, and music for teenagers. Walk into a store and the first thing you'll feel is energy. Energy from the music, energy from the merchandise, energy from the people. all of this is what makes Hot Topic different. The merchandise reflects a variety of music related lifestyles, which include street wear, retro influenced lounge, punk, club, and gothic. Add to that the wide selection of unique gifts and unusual accessories and you have it: Hot Topic is like no other store in the mall.

What Hot Topic really is: Hot Topic is a shitty store aimed at sucking in rebellious twelve-year-olds. These stupid kids will be meandering through the mall with their dumbass friends and happen across Hot Topic, which appeals to them because of all the neat lights and colors. They stumble in, purchase their shitty products with their parents money whom they hate, and come out thinking they are the apitimy of cool. I, myself, happened across Hot Topic once and was revolted. There was this pair of pants hanging near the front that I swear I saw in some sodomy fetish porno once. They were jet black, twenty sizes too big in the legs, with chains and shit hanging off them. I'm sure if I had ventured to look inside them I would have seen a dildo stitched into the ass of them. I decided that they were all I needed to see and hurried out.

I have news for you emo and wannabe gothic assfucks, you are NOT original. You are not cool. You are not insightful. You are not admired by your peers. All you losers are exactly the same as everybody else, only everybody else realizes that they aren't special, and you don't. Hot Topic is just like any other company. It has a price of $19.94 a stock, is traded on the NASDAQ, is run by suits, and is in the same malls just like all the clothes stores that you think are "superficial and unoriginal" such as Gap, Banana Republic, Express, Abercrombie, American Eagle, etc. There are even rumors now that Hot Topic is directly affiliated with those stores I just named. What do you think of your originality now, morons?

Here, I will illustrate exactly how the process works:

Cry-baby emo kid low self-esteem in search of originality and understanding stumbles across Hot Topic.

Thinks he is starting a new trend and defying society by purchasing stupid looking black clothes with shitty bands on them and other fetish paraphernalia.

Pays for merchandise using his dad's Visa. He will later that day rebel against his parents for being such dicks by buying him clothes.

The money zooms across the country to king of Hot Topic's bank account. The suits have just gotten out of a long meeting about what the best way to cater to you is, therefore increasing the store's revenue.

That night, the CEOs of Hot Topic, Gap, and Abercrombie go out to dinner at a fancy resturant to celebrate how they all conned us out of our money that day.

The next day in school, the emo kid, sporting his new clothes from Hot Topic is still made fun of, still misunderstood, and is still a cry baby piece of shit.

The point is, Hot Topic is just another clothing store. And no matter how much money you spend there, you still aren't going to be any different from anybody else besides the fact that you are dressed shitty. By the way, Hot Topic's sales are down. After careful scrutiny and research I have surmised that this plummet in their sales is due solely to the existence of this journal. I hope I have sufficiently ruined your self-esteems, all of you people who once thought Hot Topic was cool. Now where the fuck are you going to shop? Guess it's back to wallowing in the gutter for all of you pieces of filth.
