Sixteenth Broken Fang
[As a forward note, this post is set in the afternoon of the 12th. So yeah.
At the barracks on this day there is a certain dynamic duo hard at work making sure that they skills are in order for things tomorrow. Namely, the long-time partners Jaffar and innocentemerald. The odd thing for Jaffar in the past (for their few battles together so far) has found himself to be on equal footing with Nino, perhaps a bit better than her, but more or less even. But now that Nino is back from the Malnosso with a lot of magic training via experiment under her belt, well...
He's finding that for once he is the weak link in this pair. He's doing is damndest to keep up with her though. They shift from attacking targets in unison to shadow-fighting (that is to say fighting imaginary enemies) and Jaffar is planning to soon ask her for a spar proper. Something he has rarely done since his childhood, but now thinks might be a prudent measure to work with Nino now.
