I think I've just figured out why I find D&D 4th edition at once a little unsettling and a little appealing: It's fucking ExaltedThink about it. Last night, I made up coats of arms for most of the major nobility in my D&D game. Two baronies, four lordships, one archprelate, one triumvirate, and an order of paladins.
