(no subject)
what a crazy week. mostly cuz i'm completely fucked from all the celebrating. but it's been good.
thurs was my actual bday. i had lunch with murray. he gave me $600. on the same day, i'd chosen to get an advance payment from centrelink of $500 in order to fully enjoy my holidays. so i had over a grand. i felt giddy. i spent a bit on xmas presents cuz i was in a good mood and enjoy giving and could afford it. i've got more than enough money for woodford and it's sweet as. seeing murray was really good too :)
it was surprisingly easy to catch up on a whole yr and a half in just one afternoon.
then i had coffee/dinner with adam. he was so sweet. he kisses me on the cheek to greet me and say goodbye. we get along so well, it's weird. and he got the waitress to say happy bday for me, and do up our dessert a bit with berries, cream and ice cream. it was really nice.
that night i went out in civic. kylie, shawn, dale, tina, shawn's uncle and i started with drinks at my house. i prob had half a bottle of champange, two shots of vodka, and a massive glass of bailey's in about an hour. so the night was off to a good start. we exchanged xmas presents too. dale gave me a box of clarinet reeds. BEST PRESENT EVER. kylie and shawn gave me 3 pairs of cool earrings, a funky bracelet and a really cat calendar.
in civic we met ross, who happened to be in canberra, which made me incredibly happy. ross made me a gorgeous necklace out of some beads and that glass stuff which catches the light. but it got all tangled up and i couldn't untangle it, and so i had to cut the wire, so now i just have the beads and the cord so i could put it back together again prob with kylie's help cuz she's good at that sort of thing. ross put the necklace in this really cute old fashioned cigarette container from london. very cool.
we had a couple drinks at shooter's, but ross and tina don't like it there much. we went to hippo instead and met up with this guy called brad, the one i kissed the other night when i shouldn't have. he and i were flirting, but dale is better, so brad and tina got together, they almost had sex in the back of kylie's car later on. at hippo tho, i bought everyone cocktails for christmas. mine was so strong. drank really fast too. this is where i stop remembering the night. i know ross went home shortly after. then apparently we went back to shooter's to dance, i was pashing dale, i passed out in the toilet, had a panic attack in the bus interchange and threw up in the car park. none of which i remember, i was just told about it the next day. i had a fun night, tho i hate not remembering stuff. tho i'd prob hate it more if i could remember...at least i remember the good stuff from the night and not the bad. prob got a little too smashed but hey you only have one 21st. leave childhood with a bang.
we were waiting in a really long taxi line and i was freezing but we'd lost tina and shawn with the car. finally they found us and shawn did two trips to get everyone home. pretty much just passed out as soon as we got home. dale was a bit pissed off at me cuz of my behaviour. but in the morning i helped him get over it ;)
and the best birthday news?
dale and i are official!
sooo weird.
i have a bf.
it makes me even more happy than i have been the rest of the yr. dale is perfect, and i'm so happy that i'm his gf. he's my dream match and now we're officially together.
last night i flew up to rachel's house. rachel and her friends, aleisha and deb, and i had some 'welcome to brissie' drinks. we'll be spending xmas at their place with some of aleisha's family and some of rachel's friends.
i'm gonna miss all my friends soooo much, esp tina who will be in vietnam by the time i get back and who i won't see till february, and most esp dale of course.
but everything else is perfect. and when the worst thing in your life is that you're gonna miss you're absolutely amzing and wonderful friends, cuz you're on an awesome holiday in beautiful qld from 3 wks, then i think life is pretty sweet.

oh, and i got that after school job for next yr, teaching clarinet and recorder at aranda primary school.
