Lexi didn't understand how dangerous this was. That Faith wasn't her friend and she would rip her apart if Lexi didn't get out of here. Of course she didn't listen and I found myself pulling on one side of Lexi as Faith pulled on the other. It was a crude version of tug-o-war and apparently Lexi didn't like being the rope.

"Let her go." I growled at Faith, but Lexi had her own plans. She pushed Faith and me off her, scattering us to different corners of the room. I knocked into something that crashed to the ground. There was a bright light and all I could think of was protecting Lexi. I rushed for the light at the same time Faith did.

"Back off." I said, but she hissed at me and we struggled near the light. Suddenly I felt this weird sensation consume my body. I let out a scream, but it wasn't so much pain as shock. It felt like I was shrinking. My head hurt, my memories felt even more scattered, and then I felt cold. So cold like that night in the mall when Angel brought the blade down across my neck. I think I passed out.

Everything was was black and cold, but when I opened my eyes things felt weird. "Where am I?" I asked, my tone edged with fear. There was an older girl standing in the room looking part horrified and part in shock. I looked over at the small girl next to me who was slowly waking up. It felt like I should know them both, but my head felt funny.

"Who are you?" I asked, scrambling away from them. This wasn't right. Something was wrong here. The little girl who was now awake looked as confused as I felt. My eyes grew wide as I looked down at the broken glass on the floor. "I didn't do that!"

I backed up slowly, I stopped only when I hit the wall. "You're going to be in so much trouble for breaking things." I told the little girl before looking up at the bigger girl. "I want my daddy. Where's my daddy and who are you?"
