Elliot Minor Timeline
Dan Hetherton, Teddy Hetherton, Alex Davies, Ed Minton and Ali Paul.
2000 - 2004
Alexander James Davies and Edward Jun Minton met age 13 at Uppingham school.
Alex was planning on becoming a concert violinist before Ed introduced him to rock and punk music.
Together they would play acoustic cover versions of popular songs by bands such as Green Day and Blink 182.
2005 -
Alex persuaded Ed to take a gap year from school to focus on making music together
They continued as a duo until Alex bumped into old school friend Daniel Hetherton whilst he was picking up a younger brother from school.
They invited Dan to a band practice and shortly after he joined as the official drummer
for a short while they had a bassist named Mike who was also an old school friend
They named themselves The Academy
Soon after Mike left to go to university rather than continue in the band.
Now without a bassist Dan suggest they recruit his older brother Edward Hetherton ( better known as Teddy, Tedward or Ed H)
With their music having a classical element to it Alex contacted another old school friend Alistair Andrew Paul to join the band as their keyboardist
Sometime during this year they changed their name from The Academy to Elliot Minor due to legal reasons.
Alex built a studio in his home which he named Mavehole Studios which they used to record their demo album which featured songs such as 'Breaking' 'Song for the Festivity' 'What about Christmas' 'One wish' 'Jacky Jules' and 'Shes getting around' the latter two both being re recorded in a studio and released as bsides to singles released on their first and second album (japanese version of Solaris for Jacky Jules).
They gained most of their fanbase through social networking sites such as myspace in which drummer Dan sent messages to many myspace users inviting them to become fans of their band (they started doing this back when they were still named The Academy).
Since fans have helped with the promotion giving out fliers in their area and finding unique ways to promote.

The webisodes include clips of them recording and writing songs for the album and showed them playing pranks on their producer Jim by setting fire to his hair as he worked.
One of the first webisodes showed them calling keyboadist Ali Paul who was still home in england.
