Six months past and the boys were planning to record a new album together. Ed had resigned himself to the fact he might not walk again and now owned crutches for everyday use and a wheel chair if he needed to go on long journeys, not that he ever actually used it much he prefered to let Alex assist him cause then he could hold on to him without getting weird looks. Ed had decided he wanted the fans to know he was gay and Alex agreed that the truth should come out because the fans deserved it. The next day they filmed a new video blog and uploaded it to youtube as well as posting a written vlog on myspace. Both said the exact same thing asking for fans to support them and to ignore any haters who tried to bad mouth them because if it didn’t bother them it shouldn’t bother the fans. They had told a little lie about Eds accident saying he fell down the stairs at Alex’ house and had damaged his spine in the process.
The two relationships at bloomed and continued stronger by the day. Ed was happy Alex had not tried anything more than kissing with him yet because he didn’t think he was ready to give up his virginity just yet. Ali and Teddy seemed permantly linked at the lips so much so that even Dan had stopped complaining. He knew they loved each other he just didn’t wan’t to see his big brother kiss Ali or anyone for that matter. Dan still hadn’t found love anywhere and was starting to get a bit jealous of the couples.
Alex and Ed had spent weeks at a time locked in the studio (now with no outside entrance) working on new songs. On the Monday of the week before they planned to go and start recording in london Ed approaced Alex “ i wanted to show you something but i don’t really know how you will react” he said. Alex nodded and followed Ed to the piano who sat down and adjusted the seat till he was comfy. “I wrote this a month ago but i’ve been to scared to show it to you” he admitted. Alex nodded again saying it was fine for Ed to continue.
Eds fingers danced across the keys playing a slow sad tune, he starting singing. Alex loved to hear Ed sing it was like what he imagined an Angel would sing like. Alex listened to the lyrics a tear rolled down his cheek as he realised what the song was about. The tune picked up and became fast and cheerful as Ed sang the story of the past 10 years finishing on the last few months. The song ended and Ed looked at Alex waiting for his approval or any reaction at all. Alex rose to his feet and clapped amazed at how beautiful the song was. “If you don’t mind i’d kind of like to put it on the album cause it kind of feels like if i did i would be letting the past go and starting over” Ed said looking at Alex’ intense stare. Alex cupped Eds face in his hands and kissed him as hard as he could “Ed that was incredible! If you want the song on the album then that is where it will go” he promised. “Thank you” Ed said smiling against Alex’ lips as they kissed. Alex sat on the bench beside Ed as they kissed and held each other. Hands moved over each others clothed body enjoying the feeling of each others touch. The contact burned into Eds skin and he moaned into Alexs mouth, Alex pulled away “tell me you want me to stop” he asked “not yet” was the reply so Alex kissed Ed again pulling him closer till Ed was sitting on Alexs lap.

Ali screached “ewwwwwwwwwwww i’ve got to sit there you know gross dude” he complained. They continued to argue as they went back to the house for some dinner.
Another six months of recording, mixing and waiting when they day had finally arrived when the new album would be released. Fans were getting excited but none where as excited as the band themselves who paced around Alexs house imaptiently waiting for news from Gary on how the Album was doing. They had thirteen songs on the album plus six bsides all of which they felt were their best songs yet “come on Gary ring damnit” Alex complained “stop makng us wait”.
Two hours later they got a call telling them that the album sales were great and the best yet that they have had in one day. Dan decided that a new album needed a party and plenty of booze, Teddy and Ali agreed and went off to plot and plan. Ed and Alex though decided they would rather have a quiet night in.
They got changed into warm comfy pyjamas fetched blankets and made hot chocolate before curling up on the sofa together watching Star Wars movies. “Harrison Ford is kind of hot don’t you think?” Ed asked “fine go leave me for a hot older man then” Alex sulking jokingly. Ed took Alex’ hand and placed it over his heart “this is yours it allways has been and it allways will be your not getting rid of me for anyone. Im yours for life Alex i love you.” Alex watched Ed as turned back to the movie thinking hard about what Ed had said to him “did you mean that Ed? Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with me?” he asked. Ed looked back at Alex “i told you Alex i won’t tell lies anymore i love you ok?” he said once again turning back to the movie. That made up Alex’ mind “excuse me Ed i need the bathroom” he said hopping up from behind Ed and skipping upstairs. A few minutes later he was back down again “i didn’t hear you flush the loo Alex please tell me you didn’t just leave it there?” he asked. Alex just kissed him to shut him up.
Alex got down on the floor infront of Ed “Edward Jun Minton, i know its been a tough time recently and we’ve only been together for a while but i think that after surviving through all that we could make this work. I know i want to spend the rest of my life with you and i love you so much.” He said Ed starred intently at him “Ed will you marry me?” Alex asked holding out a ring box which contained a plain silver band with ‘perfection is in the heart” written inside. Ed gasped shocked then flung his arms round Alex’ neck “YES” he screamed “yes i’ll marry you Alex Davies”. Alex slipped the ring onto Eds finger and they shared a kiss “i can’t believe im getting married” Alex wispered as if sharing a big secret “i love you Ed” he said “i love you to my fiance” Ed replied.
