My office manager type person called yesterday to say that the auditor was asking about Marshall's insurance. She said that we hadn't added him, and we only had 30 days from birth to do that. Well, nice of them to call me a few weeks later instead of before the 30 days was up. Luckily, though, I had called Humana and got him added to my ( Read more... )

Saturday, we went to my grandmother's house for breakfast. We were there for an hour before everyone else, somehow, so we walked around the orchard taking pictures. Before we left, we picked a huge sackful of concord grapes from her vine. There are a ton of pictures, of course, behind the cut. I'm goign to restrict it to just the grape photos, ( Read more... )

This includes all the produce and the quilts. I think my beefmasters could have ribboned, but I couldn't have beared to give them up to just sit on a plate at the fair for two weeks!!! The farmers who enter must have huge crops to willingly give up such nice produce. I'm too greedy for that.

The real highlight of the trip for me was all of the amazing animals there. I'm so predictable. Anyway, I got to love on goats, sheep, a baby chicken, a full grown chicken, a duck, and a couple cows. I'm obviously not a farm girl, so these things are exciting for me. My life was changed forever, though, when I scooped up and held a real chicken ( Read more... )
