I can't believe it's only a little after 9PM on a Saturday night, and I'm already thinking about hitting the hay. Yikes.

So my shopping trip was a success this morning. I got up and went to the bank to procure shopping funds, then went to Talbots. Danger! Danger! I bought 2 items. $170. And they were on SALE. The main thing I went to get they didn't have. BUT I had my catalog, and the store has a Red Phone at a desk. You can go over to the phone, lift the receiver, and there's a Talbots operator on the other end ready to take your order. And by using the Red Phone, the shipping charge is significantly less than ordering online. So I went ahead and ordered the Other Thing I wanted (which was $149). I bought everything a full size smaller than what I've been wearing. I probably should have gone another size smaller than that, but it fit so good today! I want clothes to wear now, not next month. ;) Just a few more items I'll be having tailored when the time comes!

Then I had my disaster of the day. I came home and went to work doing some laundry. Yah. I have a portable washing machine in my kitchen, so I have to hook it up to the sink. Before I could do that, I had to empty the dirty dishes out of the sink and into the dishwasher. I thought I had everything, but apparently I missed one dish. So I hooked up the washer, put in the bed sheets and turned it on. I went into the living room to watch tv and type and all that fun stuff, while the washer ran. I heard when the cycle ended and went into the kitchen to empty it and put in another load, and I stepped into water on the floor. The sink was completely full, overflowing down the drawers (4 drawers got water in them) and puddled over most of my kitchen floor. I found a bucket and started bailing water out of the sink enough to reach in and find out why it wasn't draining, and found the one dirty dish, lodged into the drain. Oh man.

Yah. I got to mop the floor. And wash all the rugs. And all of my flatware, knives, and utensils have to run through the dishwasher. I finished up the laundry and then went to the dishwasher. Got it loaded up with as much as I could fit in there and turned it on. Went to take care of all the clothes, and watch some more tv. I heard the dishwasher finish, went to go unload it and the saop was still all over inside, and the dishes weren't clean. I realized that the water wasn't on. D'oh. I must be the dumbest person on the planet today or something. But the last load is finishing up right now (finally). And those kitchen drawers have gotten a hell of a lot of water in them because of me.

Maybe I should put myself to bed so I quit causing these problems. Tomorrow I need to get up and go grocery shopping and pick up a graduation card. We have to go over to my brother's place in the afternoon because his girlfriend's parents are having a party for her (she finally graduated from photography school) and Theron and I have been pointedly invited to be there. I hope I don't continue with my stupidity streak for this party. Cross your fingers for me!
